Evaluation Process
BCDD follows a rigorous, transparent two-stage scientific review process led by internal experts and the Scientific Advisory Board.
Selection Criteria & Process
Proposals are evaluated for scientific excellence, clinical relevance, and strategic alignment with BCDD capabilities.
- Scientific innovation and excellence
- Clear unmet clinical need and patient impact
- Alignment with and leverage of BCDD infrastructure, expertise, and capabilities
- Strength of commercialization and translational opportunities
Selection will be conducted in two stages:
- Preproposal - submitted through the BCDD Projects Portal.
- Full Proposal - selected preproposals will be invited to submit a full application using a structured BCDD proposal template. Full proposals will undergo review by the BCDD Scientific Advisory Board and BCDD team. All applicants submitting full proposals will receive detailed written feedback.

- Preproposal submission deadline: March 15th 2026
- Preproposal notification: April 23rd 2026
- Full proposal submission deadline: May 24th 2026
- Funding decision notification: June 25th 2026
