Evaluation Process

BCDD follows a rigorous, transparent two-stage scientific review process led by internal experts and the Scientific Advisory Board.

Selection Criteria & Process

Proposals are evaluated for scientific excellence, clinical relevance, and strategic alignment with BCDD capabilities.

• Scientific innovation and excellence
• Clear unmet clinical need and patient impact
• Alignment with and leverage of BCDD infrastructure, expertise, and capabilities
• Strength of commercialization and translational opportunities

Selection will be conducted in two stages:

1. Preproposal - submitted through the BCDD Projects Portal.
2. Full Proposal - selected preproposals will be invited to submit a full application using a structured BCDD proposal template. Full proposals will undergo review by the BCDD Scientific Advisory Board and BCDD team. All applicants submitting full proposals will receive detailed written feedback.

Important Dates

• Preproposal submission deadline: April 15^th 2026
• Preproposal notification: May 15^th 2026
• Full proposal submission deadline: June 5^th 2026
• Funding decision notification: July 5^th 2026

Detailed written feedback will be provided to all applicants submitting full proposals.
