Keren Kipnis (Oved) is a molecular biologist who joined the BLAVATNIK CENTER for Drug Discovery while completing her studies towards a Ph.D. degree (direct-track) in Medical Sciences at the Tel-Aviv University Sackler Faculty of Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Noam Shomron and Prof. David Gurwitz.
In her PhD thesis, Keren explored the roles of miRNAs on the pharmacogenomics of Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants, the first-line therapeutics for major depression.
Keren has received The Buchmann scholarship fund for excellent Ph.D students, The Sieratzki Prize of The Adams Super Center for Brain Studies for Students in Neuroscience and The Yosef Sagol Neuroscience Fellowship.
