Research Fellow at the HTS and Biological Assays Unit (Former Member)
Michael Chalik joined BLAVATNIK CENTER for Drug Discovery (BCDD) while finishing his Ph.D studies and after finishing his M.Sc. studies at the cell research and immunology department under supervision of Prof. Daniel Wreschner. During his M.Sc. Michael studied the molecular properties of the tumor specific gene MUC1 and its role in tumor progression and microenvironment.
During his Ph.D. Michael combined investigation of novel aspects of protein secretion mechanisms with study of novel secreted proteins involved in tissue development and cell differentiation.
Michael has experience in various biochemical and molecular biology methods such as: cell culture, confocal microscopy, animal dissection, protein and nucleic acid analyses. As a BCDD fellow Michael specialized in high throughput screening, assay development and image analysis.
