BCDD launch Board Members Seminar Series
At a seminar took place earlier this week Prof. Adam Cohen and Prof. William DeGrado presented their work and vision for academic drug discovery
The BLAVATNIK CENTER for Drug Discovery organized and hosted seminar series in the area of drug discovery. At the first session, held on April 15th, and took place at the Raya and Josef Jaglom Auditorium, Prof. Adam E. Cohen (Harvard University) and Prof. William F. DeGrado (University of California, San Francisco), members of the BCDD International Advisory Board, presented their work and their vision for academic drug discovery.
The Academic Director of the BCDD and the event host, Prof. Gazit, summed up the event: "We were privilege to enjoy the presentation of exciting state-of-the-art scientific research as its highest level. The innovative work of Prof. DeGrado on the development of novel drugs to treat fibrosis has the potential to finally provide a solution to unmet medical need. The pioneering optical measurement of electrophysiological activity, that was presented by Prof. Cohen, is a true revolution in the understanding of neurobiology".
The Board Members Seminars are open to the public and faculty members, researchers and graduate students working in fields of drug discovery and drug development are strongly encouraged to attend.
