BCDD Members Joined the Prague-Weizmann Summer School in Drug Discovery & Development

We are thrilled to share that members of BCDD were invited to participate in the highly anticipated ninth iteration of the Prague Summer School in Drug Discovery & Development.

This annual event, jointly held with the for the fifth consecutive year, is co-organized by the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, and the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The event took place between July 30 - August 3, 2023, at the Weizmann Institute of Science. The gathering aimed to foster knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation in the field of drug discovery. By bringing together leading experts from academia, international pharma, and biotech companies, the event created an enriching environment for attendees to learn about cutting-edge advancements, share research insights, and explore potential partnerships.

Topics relevant to contemporary drug discovery

This event boasts a diverse and dynamic lineup of participants, including accomplished scientists, researchers, and practitioners specializing in various aspects of drug discovery.

The Prague Summer School encompassed an array of captivating sessions, covering topics relevant to contemporary drug discovery. Some of the key areas that were explored during the event included: Target Discovery and Validation, Medicinal Chemistry, Structure and In Silico-Based Drug Design, Drug Discovery for Neglected Diseases, Covalent Drug Discovery, Antivirals and Principles and Examples of the Commercial Drug Development Cycle.

Following the enriching experience at the Prague Summer School BCDD members took the opportunity to visit their colleagues at different research groups within the Weizmann Institute of Science.
